Visited as a family. Family room had a double bed and 2 single sofa beds which left little space for luggage. Small bathroom but sufficient. Convenient location. Breakfast space felt a bit chaotic - very crowded; perhaps rearranging where different food is kept might have helped. Good options of fruit, pastries, cereals, hot food.

The Novotel Montparnasse was good for our family of 4, the sleeping conditions were a little tight but that’s what we expected for the price range in Paris. It was close to the metro station and there were several good restaurants very close. If you are up for walking, most of the attractions (Eiffel tower, notre dame, etc) were within 2 miles walking distance. The breakfast buffet was great! There aren’t many restaurants open for breakfast (other than pastries of course) so it was a good thing to add on for our family to make sure the kids got a good start in the morning!

The hotel is conveniently situated to get metro or busses around the city. The room was nice and the sofa beds for the kids were a good size. There is a water cooler on each floor which was brilliant. I would have given it 5 stars except for: The big downside was the heat. We went in a heatwave and the air conditioning was broken so our room was an oven. It was uncomfortable to sit in and difficult to sleep in when we really needed an escape from the heat. The staff did provide a fan which helped but there was a suspiciously large cupboard of fans so I do wonder if it breaks often when it's hot.
