There was also a nice restaurant on-site which made it easy to dine all meals if needed or was right beside multiple restaurants within easy walking distance. The property was new and clean. We had issues with the outlets in our room, they stopped working mid-trip but maintenance was able to fix them. The only staff member I'll highlight was Joe the bar manager. He went above and beyond to make sure our experience at the bar/restaurant was perfect. His employees on the other hand were very rude. We were treated very poorly by some of the bar staff.

I recently stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Monterey and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The room was absolutely fantastic…. clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with a great balance of style and functionality. The entire resort was extremely clean and well-maintained. From the common areas to the guest spaces, everything felt fresh, organized, and welcoming. It’s clear the team takes pride in keeping the property in top condition. One of the highlights was the restaurant. The food was excellent, and the overall dining experience exceeded expectations. Great atmosphere, quality service, and dishes that were both well-prepared and memorable. Overall, this was a top-tier experience, and I would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Monterey CA.

The hotel is generally well-maintained and the bedding is clean; I also found the breakfast selection to be quite good. However, our stay was significantly disrupted by several young children staying in the room directly above us. For two consecutive nights, we experienced persistent noise from footsteps and doors closing, which made it impossible to rest. Additionally, I would advise those who are uncomfortable with pets to reconsider, as there are cats and dogs on the premises.

This is a brand new property, everything is clean and the design is lovely. Our only observations are that our room still smelled like new construction/paint. Obviously that's temporary. Our "premium" room was also directly on a street that had street parking and as a result was very noisy with cars coming and going. Others will have a different experience staying elsewhere in the hotel.
