Only stayed for one night, but it was a comfortable stay. The room was clean and tidy, bathrooms were clean, and the beds were comfy. Eating at the diner as a local guest gets you 20% off. That was a nice treat! Staff were friendly and helpful.

The pool was drained and closed. We booked our stay here because they had a pool and hot tub. The hot tub was 92° and when we asked them to increase the tempature they just ran a hose with hot tap water into it until it reached 95° then told us that was it... Coffee maker in room was absolutely disgusting. Staff barely spoke english. There was sketchy people coming and going from the parking lot and other rooms all night, aswell as using drugs in the parking lot. We will NEVER return to Port Elgin Travel Lodge.

The lady at the front desk was wonderful at check in. The location is very handy but the room we stayed in wasn’t the cleanest. We were in the outer rooms. The bathroom had a big spider web with dead bugs in it in the corner. The curtains had dead bugs stuck to them. Sadly the pool wasn’t open due to a leak and other issues. A fresh coat of paint would do a world of good on the rooms. Would we stay there again??? Only if we could see the room first.

Nice hotel great location, good service. Room had a very sensitive floor, our/ Neighbor footsteps triggered a lot of shaking and rambling. Swimming pool had a nice hot water tub with jet streams but after a few minutes saw lot of dirt floating around.
