Spacious and quiet room

Great hotel overall! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi, although the water did have a rusty appearance—I’m hoping that was just from well water. This was part of a 4-night trip, and we allowed housekeeping in during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find the room completely reset and refreshed, and it was reassuring that our valuables were untouched. A very good experience overall.

I want to update my review of the Grand Stay Motel and Suites in Waseca MN. I just received a call from them and they apologized profusely, for our bad experience and have had professional cleaners come in and disinfect the room from top to bottom. They even had a roofer come in and fix some bad spots on the roof and and siding checked and the windows re-caulked. It appeared that all the rain and humidity was what caused the wet carpet problem. They have offered us a free night on or next trip to Waseca and we will definitely give them another try. Thank you Grand Stay for listening and taking care of this issue!

We had a pretty bad experience this time at Grandstay. The carpet was very wet in the whole room, the sheets were damp, and there was a splotch of mold on the ceiling. We had to lay all of our towels on the floor to walk on the carpet. We walked barefoot on the carpet at first and our feet were black with dirt from the wet carpet. I don't know how house keeping didn't notice this from cleaning the room before we checked in. Last time we stayed it was a much better experience.

The breakfast eggs and sausage could be improved greatly by changing out to a scrambled egg or small cheese omelette option and a sausage link rather than the greasy sausage patty. Egg was bland and dry. The rest of the breakfast options were fine.

Highly recommend. Great people and place to stay.

From the outside I was a little iffy. As soon as I walked in I was blown away. It smelled so fresh and clean. The gal the checked us in was the NICEST. She was so helpful, kind and friendly. She went out of her way to do anything she could. We had an issue with the tv not working when the night staff was on and he also was VERY helpful and got it fixed. We travel a lot in the summer and the service and hotel stay was by far the best all summer.
