When I arrived at 8:30, there was nobody at the front desk. I kept saying "hello?" and looking around, and even knocked on the door to the reception area. After about 10 minutes, I finally had to call the reservation number I found online and they sent me the number to the front desk. That was the only way I could get the clerk to come to the front desk. I looked for a bell or a buzzer, but didn't see any signs. When he finally came out and checked me in, he then told me that there is a phone on the far end of the check in counter that has a very small sticker on it to push and call reception. OR a sign saying "call this number if nobody is present at the desk." That should be much more obvious.

The one staff person we interacted with was very friendly but the hotel smelled very bad. The smell of the room was overpowering - like it has had a lot of food microwaved in it, and just left there. It seems like it’s seeped into the walls and carpet. They seem to know it’s a problem as the window was wide open when we came in even though it was very cold. Also there was no actual breakfast food available beyond a few crusts of bread despite the advertisement. Again, the person who worked there was very friendly. But they need to do a major renovation/cleaning.

This motel is terrible. Room was disgustingly dirty. Location is inconvenient. Staff were annoying - they called the week before our stay and told us they were moving us from a 2-bed to a single bed room because part of the hotel had flooded. They gave us a king suite when we checked in, then called several hours later to tell us they had given us the wrong room and needed us to move to a different room. Staff then proceeded to move our stuff to the other room without us there (!), and missed some of our items. When we returned to the hotel at 9:30 PM and informed them of this, staff disturbed the guests in our first room to get our things out of the bathroom, and promptly dropped half our items on the floor as strangers in our first room handed our stuff over. All in all, a terrible experience. If you're visiting your student at one of the local colleges, do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. We would've been much happier staying in Minneapolis than at this horrible motel.

This was by far the dirtiest room I have ever had. There was mold growing on the carpets the walls and the ceilings. There was still hair in the bed from previous gusts. The carprts had food on them and had not been vacuumed. The room also smelled awful, musty like wet carpet. It was so disgusting we didn't stay our second night.
This is the desk it is messy much like the rest of the hotel.

I stayed in their top of the line suite. It was large, well appointed, clean and the bed comfortable. The Jacuzzi bath was broken. I have stayed in this hotel several times and they are improving the cleanliness. Breakfast leaves a great deal to be desired. They put out some slices of Wonder bread with a toaster and a few packaged mini-muffins. It is a viable option for the budget-minded as it is much less expensive than the other hotels in town. I will come back when nothing else is available.

Worst hotel sheets I’ve ever had - they were very pilled and rough, thankfully I don’t think dirty but still way too used or old which just feels yuck. The room was very run down. So hard to tell if dirty or just too old to look clean any more. They did clean my room after first night stay so I think I was pretty clean, but bath tub looked like some places well scrubbed and then line where you could see maybe not scrubbed enough. The room smelled strongly of cheap disinfectant cleaner. Cleaning staff was noisy in the halls with vacuums outside my room at 8am on Sunday am. To their credit staff very friendly. Breakfast was 4 pieces of white bread, 4 pieces of cheap wheat bread, 4 bananas, and 3 yogurts in a fridge, coffee, juice machine, and on day 2 some cellophane wrapped mini blueberry muffins. One side of toaster broken. Other slot burnt my toast no matter what setting it was on. I did manage to have peanut butter and banana toast for breakfast with some cold water which was fine. First night I checked in place smelled good like Indian food, but after that just strong smell of cleaner. Typically I don’t mind an economical 2 star hotel and can over look a lot of run down things as long as they are clean. But the rough old sheets were just the worst and I’d prefer not to stay here again if other options are available.

I may very well make a Fair Housing Complaint. They jacked their price way up beyond what they are worth just to cause me triuble, which they did. Once I leave, I bet it goes down. I spoke with police about them. Police were very shocked as well. Police agreed this is a $50 or $60 hotel at best Apparently they have very bad business practices, discriminate and have caused me a lot of trouble, as well as others trying to be supportive to me here. Not a good place. Not worth over $70 at all. Their breakfast is very poor (very).
