Front desk staff were super helpful with checking in, loved the hot springs tub and vapor caves, beautiful setting, rooms were adequate although a bit dated and outside of the River lodge building was a bit rough looking with some peeling paint. Overall would recommend for the setting, hot springs and the food onsite from the Mineshaft.

Great location. Staff was great and very friendly. Food at the restaurant was really good. The hotel itself is dated and a little worn which is pretty standard in Colorado mountain towns. It was clean and amenities were good. Enjoyed our stay except for the smoke in town from the fires, but nothing that the hotel had any control over.

Very good for family, good breakfast but no markers on the food items, had to ask if items contain dairy, meat, eggs etc, Clean rooms, good amenities, we missed microwave for kids milk as the cafeteria was very far away, very scenic surrounded by tall mountains, close to all good eating places and hot springs. Parking was tight and limited, Overall recommended stay.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, but adding a proper safety rail to the top bunk would make it much safer for families with children. The spacious shower was a wonderful bonus and something we really appreciated.

Enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. Was not a fan of the check in process, using kiosks. Seemed rather impersonal. Ouray is a beautiful area, but due to the Gold Mountain Wildfire nearby, the smoke from fire was almost overwhelming and we were mostly confined to our room. The Mineshaft Restaurant associated with the Hotel was excellent as well as the Buffet breakfast.
