We arrived to discover the hotel was u set construction. The room we received was completely different and much smaller than the one we booked. The renovations to us are taking the historic charm out of the hotel.

The St. Elmo is under renovation. We were upgraded to a first floor suite which was nice. However, our stay was not as pleasant as the previous year because there was no breakfast included ... not even coffee in the morning. Last year there was a marvelous breakfast, but because the hotel is under renovation, the dining area was not available. I expect that everything will be outstanding once the renovation is complete.

My sister and I stayed two nights here and really loved so many things! It is an older hotel right on the main drag so very convenient to shops and restaurants. Parking right out front on the street was easy and always available or you can park behind the building. Kudos to front desk person, Brittany, who sent time working on our reservation through Expedia. She also was just very kind and helpful. We loved the vibe here! There’s even a lounge room with couches and music we hung out in a couple times m. We even played BANANAGRAMS on a table on there. The Tavern is their restaurant and we had delicious meals and cocktails. Our room would have been the best if we had had a little fridge and microwave. Some rooms do. We got in the hot tub one night! Lovely overall.
