The staff are nice. The rooms are quite average. This is rather an old property. My experience was not very good because on my first night I noticed bed sheets were quite dirty, as if they were not changed since the last guest. I had to sleep in my outdoor clothes! Next morning I told the reception and asked that they change the sheets but they didn't, and I had to ask them again after I returned to hotel and finally it got changed!

The Metcalfe is a pretty hotel, with clean room. The staff goes over and beyond to please you. Julian at front desk on Saturday was amazing. Same one of the restaurant's staff who accommodated us for breakfast on Sunday without reservation at almost full capacity. Extraordinary staff. Thank you, guys. We'll surely come back.

The staff at the desk is always so friendly and welcoming. My girlfriend and I have stayed at this hotel several times now and it is our go-to place in Ottawa. Ideally located, clean and affordable. I have nothing negative to say about the Metcalfe.
