Amazing walkable location. Pool, gym, free breakfast were great. Parking garage entrance is really low 5’9” so be careful renting a larger vehicle as it might not fit.

What an amazing hotel. Super clean, lots of amenities, great restaurant and bar, close to everything and wonderful staff. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to spend time in our nation’s capital. We’ll be back!

For context, I travel for business and pleasure monthly and frequently stay at Hilton hotels. This was a personal trip for 4 nights to visit family and I had my daughter with me. What I liked about the hotel is the large room, soundproofing seemed good, full kitchen (although we did not really use it this trip), exercise facility (large and lots of equipment for strength and cardio), and proximity to attractions and public transport options. The restaurant was pretty good overall, fast, and convenient. Some issues which made me score lower: there was hair in the shower when we arrived, the tissue box was empty and never refilled, and the swimming pool facilities (the pool itself was a good temperature and just long enough to do some reasonable laps - but there were no change rooms (very odd) and no hot tub).

The room was fine but far from inviting and comfortable. I was disappointed with the room location because I had asked for a quiet room away from elevators. That was my only request, not a high floor or river view or anything else. At check in, I was assured that the room was consistent with my request. While it was not the first room across from the elevator, it was the very next one. When I went in, I found the dresser drawers open and quickly surmised that this was their natural state. The AC was very loud and, as seems to be usual, the gust from the vent was aimed largely at the bed. This time the air flow was so forceful as to blow papers off of the desk. There is no counter space in the vanity area. The tv faces the bed and there is not enough room to pivot so that you can watch from the sofa. The kitchen didn't have a kettle or measuring cup so I made tea by boiling water in a pot. A pitcher for the fridge would have been nice as no cold water came out of the kitchen tap. There was little gluten free at the breakfast - just whole apples/oranges and yogurt cups. After some awkward inquiries, I was offered gluten free toast. I don't like the policy of not being able to take food to the room (unlike most other hotels) as I like to catch up on work in the mornings and it is a pain to have to set up with my laptop in the breakfast room.
