Location is near an area of homeless people. The property and the rooms were near new condition, or newly renovated. About 1 km from Byward Market & Parliament Hill areas. Overall, good value for the money; complimentary breakfast was nice.

been to a lot of holiday inn, and usually the parking is included in the price. Apparently they have limited parking (underground) and if it’s booked then you have to park outside with a third party parking area which was almost 10 minutes walk from the place. Also a bit scary because there is a shelter hub right across from the location. The thermostat inside the room had the brightest light. Personal preference of darkness when sleeping but oh well. The neighbourhood wasn’t the best because it’s right across from a community shelter hub, of some sort.

Great hotel but the area around is a bit scary

Everything about the hotel is great, clean, nice, good location to downtown, free breakfast. It is a shame the area around it is so sketchy. They do have security there 24/7 though.

The staff, room and breakfasts were all great. However, there is a homeless shelter close by, and my friends felt unsafe walking in the evening. During the day, however, we were close by a beautiful park on the Rideau River, and we loved that walk.

We had to ask for towels on the third day. Beds were not made up daily, but that doesn’t bother us too much. Room was clean, had plenty of lamps, easy chair with foot stool, good TV and desk. No carpet smell. Came with fridge and microwave. Breakfast area was better than most such establishments.
