Good stay at Onyado for tatami room & hot spring
We stayed here for 5 nights in June 2019. Since we had 6 people (3 adults, 3 kids), we booked 2 deluxe twin rooms which also had space for a 3rd person to sleep on a thin mattress (& comforter available in cupboard). There was room on the 2 twins (pushed together) for 2 adults & 1 child as well. PROS: very convenient to Nippombashi train station, around the corner from Dotonbori (lots of restaurants for dinner), restaurants nearby for Japanese/American breakfasts, relaxing hot spring after a long day of walking (1 cold pool, 2 hot pools, shower), tatami rooms, and free ramen noodles after 9:30pm. CONS: very hard pillows, mattress was also super firm, noisy at the women's hot spring as most of the guests were from Korea, Taiwan, mainland China so they didn't really adhere to the "quiet" rules of the spa but at least it wasn't super crowded when we went to the spa (~800-930pm) or we would go to the 2nd pool. Almost free laundry available in the locker rooms, need to get key from front desk: free use of washing machine (includes detergent), 100Yen to dry each load.
