Family holiday in Osaka

We had a great 3-days stay at the Universal Port hotel. We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Universal Studios and enjoyed every moment there. Everything was excellent, starting from its superb location, with train and metro station very close, extremely helpful staff, spacious family rooms, spotless clean, comfortable beds and pillows and great buffet breakfast.

Beautiful hotel! The location is great. The cleanliness and service were amazing. I love the gifts prepared for us -- various goodies, such as bubble baths and face masks. This hotel is definitely up in my list!

This was by far our worst stay in our 8 days of travels in Japan. The room we stayed in should be non smoking but our bed sheets had a faint smell of smoke. We had the room cleaned and came back to an even stronger smoke odor than before. The staff did get us a new room, though we still wondered how the smoke smell could get worse with housekeeping. Overall the rooms and carpets are dated and dirty with a faint moldy odor - even in the room we changed to. Hotel location and breakfast were good.

The hotel was fine if you want to do the Universal Park but I think there are better options nearby. Staff was friendly but limited English. Food was overpriced and poor quality at buffet

Great family friendly hotel - walking distance to Universal City Walk with dining and shopping options, as well 10min ride to Osaka Expo. Far from city like Dotonburi/Namba etc but beautiful and lovely location. Universal port around the corner - book ferry ride ahead, Lawsons nearby at Port Vita hotel - very handy.

Very convenient for USJ and train station. Room looked a bit tired in places. Staff very helpful. Balcony not accessible and no windows to open which was a shame. Water, ice and fridge great.

Excellent location for going to USJ and Universal city walk (lots of restaurants, snacks and souvenirs stores) about 3-5 min walk. You can see and hear the Hollywood ride from your hotel room window. We were at Disney the week before, this is definitely a much better area for a quick bite after late night at the parks.
