This hotel was great for our stay. Our two bedroom suite was nice for us parents to have a separate space from the teens. There were areas in our room that could have been cleaned better, like along the baseboards. The walls seemed thin, could hear some noise in the room next door, but not too awful. The food we had from the cafeteria was good. It’s nice to have so many options, and to be able to take it up to our room. Some of the cashiers in the cafeteria were not super friendly. But front desk staff were so nice and helpful, as were the staff in the gift shop. It’s so convenient having a shuttle to all the universal parks too. The website says they leave every 15 minutes but sometimes they were way quicker than that.

Home Away from Home

Clean rooms. Spacious. Home away from home. We stayed for 5-nights while we visited the Universal parks. We are a family of 4 and the girls enjoyed having their own beds while my wife and I had our own bed in a "separate" room. The picnic style dining table gave us place to eat and converse. The shuttle to and from the parks were an added bonus plus the early park admission for staying at a Universal resort hotel. Definitely would stay here again.

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Universal. The transport is great and the location is good too. The only issue we had was the rooms weren't cleaned properly and the beds weren't changed. Staying for 2 weeks I would expect a couple of bed changes, but this only happened because we requested it. The room just felt dirty. Everything else was fantastic.

We loved it here. Perfect space for a family of 5. Made good use of the pool and very regular park shuttle. Only issue was the lack of facilities to make your own food. We were on a tight budget, so really needed to be able to cook regularly. We bought a lot of salads and then some microwave meals, plus cereal, milk and orange juice, which all fitted into the fridge fine. The plastic cutlery and bowls sufficed, but I would prefer to be kind to the environment with washable items. However, I understand that in a hotel of this size, the breakages/replacement of such items could become quite the burden. We would definitely stay here again and I would just make sure I was better prepared for catering for the family.

Amazing stay made extra special

Can’t express how much of a great stay we had. The staff really made us extra special and made our stay, we were kindly upgraded on our room an it honestly made so much difference to our holiday. The staff were so kind and really do try go the extra mile. This hotel is great, pools, amenities and general vibe. We stayed a night at another universal hotel for the fast passes and a week at dockside and we all agreed undoubtedly that we will defiantly return to dockside. It’s a fantastic hotel with great rates for families. Shuttles are great! Such close proximity to parks and shops! Amazing stay. Thank you all at dockside your work is truly appreciated.
