We chose this property mainly for the frequent free shuttles to the parks. It was a mostly comfortable stay and the text concierge was helpful. Loved the oversized pool, just wish it was a little deeper because it was mostly around 4 feet max. Also felt it should have had microwaves in the rooms as almost every other cheap hotel I have stayed in, has offered them, and this hotel was not cheap. We also had a few issues with staff. On the first day we tried to exchange our military discounted Universal voucher for tickets at the ticket counter, but they told us they couldn't accept our veteran label on our i.d. We were worried that we would have to pay full price, but we had zero issues getting the tickets at the park. The hotel staff also locked us out of our room one day due to finding our licensed handgun that my husband carries for protection. They didn't notify us of this at all. They confiscated it until we checked out, and did let us in the room after that. I'm honestly not sure I would stay at a Universal hotel again. My husband definitely wouldn't. The value doesn't feel like it's there.
