★☆☆☆☆ Worst Hotel Experience I’ve Had — Avoid at All Costs
I booked this Days Inn in Orlando specifically because it was advertised as smoke-free. What a joke. In the middle of the night, I woke up to my entire room filled with the strong smell of marijuana. I eventually realized people were smoking right in the corridor as if it were completely normal.
The next morning, I called the front desk to report it. Instead of any concern, I was given some vague excuse about it being “medicinal on certain days.” Seriously? That’s supposed to justify smoke invading a supposedly smoke-free hotel? Absolutely unacceptable.
And that was after dealing with a filthy room. The place looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned, the bathroom was old and covered in buildup and lime, and the tub looked like it hadn’t seen bleach in years. I felt uncomfortable even using it.
To make things worse, the breakfast was ridiculous. The options were basically bread, cereal, and a terrible coffee — and calling that coffee is generous. The atmosphere in the breakfast area was also extremely unpleasant; some people were talking loudly and having completely inappropriate conversations for a shared dining space. It felt chaotic and poorly supervised.
Between the dirty room, the overwhelming smell of smoke, the dismissive response from the staff, and the miserable breakfast setup, this stay was a complete disaster from start to finish. I regret booking here.
