It had snowed in the last 24 hours… and no one cleared the sidewalk of 4 -5 inches high of snow….. which you had to walk on to get to your car… The clerk did get the shovel out it but I thought this should not have been her job…to do..! I booked in advance so they knew I was coming and that I am staying on the first floor!! They did clear it the next day!!

The ceiling had water damage and was falling apart. We were travelling with our small dog. When we checked in, the receptionist knew this and put us on the upstairs floor. Not to mention, he also had us park on the wrong side of the building to where our room was, and we had to trudge through deep snow to get to the door as the sidewalks and parking lot were not plowed or shovelled. We were travelling with our son, daughter in law and baby grandson, and this was a major inconvenience due to playpen and other baby items we had to carry. When checking out, we were charged an additional $25 because dogs are not allowed on the 2nd floor due to allergies. We were not advised of this on check in. She refused to refund us th extra charge saying it is hotel policy. When I told her we were not advised and places on the second floor with the receptionist knowing full well we had a dog, she just brushed me off. I asked to speak to a manager and was handed a card and told to call her on Monday when she comes in. This wasa Saturday. The front desk clerk was rude, dismissive and dressed like she was spending g the afternoon lazing around. We always stay at this hotel when travelling to Orillia. We will not be returning.

The night audit that checked us in around 7pm on December 6th was amazing. I think her name was Donna, she was so nice and funny. She truly made our stay unforgettable. She deserves a raise in my opinion. Having that great energy so late in the day is a rare skill! We will definitely come back to stay here!

Friendly and informative staff at check in. The room was small but comfortable and clean. The bed, pillows, and linen were comfortable. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom. (One item was not checked prior to our arrival and the container was empty). Coffee is available in the room but only one regular and three decaf. Instead we visited the breakfast area that opened at 6:30am for coffee. Breakfast was included and there were enough options for anyone to find something to eat. The lobby also sold snacks, drinks, and microwave meals.
