"The hotel gets 5 stars for location, staff, and room quality. It gets only 1 star for the bathroom. Very little pressure in the shower and the sink has a spicket in the middle of the sink extending down so how do you wash your face without making a mess? Comfortable bed and lots of both English and French tv channels. Add it all up and I give it 3 stars. "

"Beautiful room Royale 1. Lovely soaker tub and amazing shower. Comfortable bed. The only thing I would do better if I were adding anything would be to have bigger towels. Such a luxury bathroom should have big bath sheets, not scrawny little three star sheets. Staff was lovely."

"I loved my stay in this unique hotel in the heart of Vieux Quebec. I was in a 'superior queen' room facing the street, and it was spacious and very quiet, yet walking distance to everything. The bedding and towels were high quality, the temperature easy to adjust, and the rainfall shower was sublime. Hair and shower gel were from a Quebec maker and also high quality. Breakfast was generous and there was a coffee maker and fridge in the room. In other reviews, some people complain about size, stairs, and lack of amenities - if that is what you want instead of living in a piece of history, then there are large hotels further away that will provide that, but if you want to be housed in living history, while enjoying modernized rooms, beds and bathrooms, this is the place!"
