The room was clean and the location is great for the price. However, because the prices are more affordable, there are certain crowds who stay there and don’t care about their noise level, watching their children in the pool, smoking, etc.

The Empress is now owned by The Saraha Hotel group. The room was very clean, the cleaning and ground personal are helpful, but speak little English. The check in process was a nightmare. No organization at all. Totally inefficient and unorganized. Other than check in it is a nice little hotel nothing special for the price. It was a very clean motel with a pool for the price.

Where do I start? The TV doesn’t work… they switched to WiFi TV but that would be great if there was working WiFi. The telephone doesn’t work, which I know from trying to call the front desk - see the next sentence… They allow anybody to rent and no one checks up on them so for two nights straight there was partying outside of our door between 12:30 AM and 3 o’clock both nights. I mentioned these things to the front desk after my first night, but nothing changed. I don’t think the property has been updated since the 80s and it shows. Definitely get what you pay for, but less.

Sink drains were clogged, housekeepers took our towels and didn’t replace them, people were in the pool screaming until 3AM, housekeepers stole energy drinks from the mini fridge that we brought for our trip home . Do not recommend!
