The room 505 had a portable AC with a hole in the sliding window but there was a gap and bugs were getting in. The walls in the room were peeling and the sheets looked like they were not clean. There was crumbs in the bed when we lifted the blankets back. The pull out couch was falling apart. My family has stayed at this hotel for over the past 4 years and I never had this problem.

The building/room definitely needs an upgrade. The door to our room had to be slammed shut in order to actually fully close it. There were ants in the bathroom. The vents were dirty and rusty. There is no fan in the bathroom. The sofa bed was very old and worn. I’m glad we did not have to use it. Overall, just OK. Most likely will not be staying here again.

This place has slipped in the last 5 years

We had no hot water because the hotel's boiler was down for 2 days while we were here. This was during the summer beach season (August). Our room was not clean. Absolutely no room service. I have stayed at Bonita Beach and other Carousel Group hotels at least 10 times in the past. I noticed some things that weren't as good in the post-Covid years, but this was probably our last visit.
