This is not an exceptional property, even for an older motor court motel. The road noise and light from the parking lot are challenging for sleeping. The bed posts were not secured to the bed and there were only two working light bulbs. There are better maintained motor court motels next to Silver Springs state park if you are looking for this vibe.

There was mold on the bathroom wall. The vent fans need to be replaced ASAP. The "renovations " are not up to par. You can tell this used to be a fantastic motel. The bathroom tile is epic. We stayed here two years ago and found this little place charming. Since then it’s become run down and no longer charming. The grounds around the entry to the rooms are full of weeds, the parking lot is all cracked and full of potholes, and the outside doors are all faded and beat up. There was never anyone in the office (the person still cleaning our room 40 minutes after check in time had to get someone to check us in). The biggest plus to this place is the proximity to the downtown (we walked to dinner) and a Starbucks just a block away.

You get what you pay for. Our room was clean enough (dusty baseboards, slightly sticky microwave, otherwise fine) and indifferently maintained (the towel bar in the bathroom had been torn off the wall & not replaced, and we didn’t get housekeeping service either of the two full days we stayed), but the bed was comfortable, the innkeeper was responsive when we contacted him, and being able to walk to downtown restaurants, etc. was great. If you’re looking for a safe, inexpensive place to sleep and not much else, this is a solid choice.
