Friendly staff, clean & comfortable room ideal for a one night stay. Restaurant looked lovely but we didn’t have time to try it as arrived late, but would definitely return as the pub is situated on a lovely little village with lots of parking.

Everything about this property was delightful, the warm welcome, the service throughout my stay, the food and the ambience. Sometimes as a single traveller I feel as though I am not entirely welcome but certainly that was not the case at the Black Horse. Delightful inn in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. Comfortable rooms. Plentiful parking. Excellent gastropub cuisine. Best of all are the wonderful staff. Smiley and anxious to please. Huge thanks to them all. Will certainly stay again. Highly recommended.

Nice area. Staff very freindly. Bar area and restaurant was busy but I got servered promptly. Food was ok. The main issue was the amount of noise. The room was over the bar unfortunately. The noise kept going to almost 11.30 pm and I had an early start in the morning.

One night stop over from Scotland to southern England. The room was very good, nice bed, great shower - very comfortable. Lots of people using the restaurant and bar. Very good pint of English Beer (Timmy Taylor); and staff helpful throughout my stay. I’ll use this place again, and maybe stay longer.✔️
