88 years old and a Pacific Northwest resident. Have traveled many times to the Oregon Coast. The Allred Hotel is by far the best ever! The bathrobe is the softest. And a new taste treat in the complimentary snack box are the Sisters Apple Crisps. Stay here for sure in Newport!

The room was the cleanest I've ever stayed in. All of the staff was exceptional, from the front desk to the cleaning crew, pool guys, everyone we encountered. Even one of the maintenance/grounds (?) staff offered to help us bring things to our room. I have really never experienced staff who seem happy to go above and beyond. Our shower backed up really badly on the last day though. We got towels delivered to us very quickly to help mop up while we were trying to pack, and we got some compensation for the room as well. We brought our dog and the accommodations for him were great as well.

Upon arriving, the staff were immediately friendly and welcoming. They were quick to help us check in and gave our toddler a welcome kit with sand castle toys, bucket, sunglasses, and coloring book. The hotel itself is well kept and modern. The bar looks like a great place to sit and enjoy a drink. Parking was easy. The room was clean and spacious, perfect views of the ocean. The robes were luxurious and shower had good water pressure. The pool was heated, although I wouldn't mind it being a couple degrees warmer. The hot tub / spa was large enough to not bother other people. The only think we didn't love was the restaurant. The service was slow, small portions, and not the most flavorful food. We honestly can't wait to stay here again in the summer!

The lobby bar is a lively place to enjoy a cocktail. Good vibes. The covered outdoor space with fire pit was really nice considering it was a rainy weekend. The room was really spacious, sparkling clean, with great beach views.
