Perfect for an overnight stay in centre of Newcastle. Parking right outside is helpful too. Nice enough hotel with spacious rooms but top floor rooms are right by the train track. If you’re a light sleeper you’ll need ear plugs. Apart from that all great.

We always choose the Vermont when visiting Newcastle it is in a perfect location and the staff are great. The hotel is having an upgrade staring in the top floor working down which will be great as the rooms are currently quite dated but still nice, everything you need and a decent size.

Lovely room, welcoming staff and well located. A couple of noisy guests going back to their rooms but noise was short lived. Toilet didn’t flush well but great overall experience and we will definitely stay again. One more point to consider, Parking is not free. We think it is too expensive and should be nominal or free with your stay.

The stay was very good. On arrival check in and parking was great. We were staying for our 10year wedding anniversary after getting married at the Vermont hotel. Once checked in we went to the room to be welcomed by a happy anniversary message and some cake which was lovely touch. The room was really clean and tidy, spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was great, plenty of options to choose from and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great stay

In theory this should be a great hotel however it’s so noisy at night. Should have realised when we got to the room and there were ear plugs at the side of the bed. Rooms are so hot and no air con so you have to open the windows then you get the noise. Should be told when booking that you won’t get to sleep before 2 am due to the noise of the bars around the hotel.
