I stayed at the Moxy Lower East Side in January (by myself) and I had such a great experience. Everyone was so lovely, helpful and easy to deal with. I want to particularly mention: Karl, Peter, Joanna, Jessica and Carlos who each went out of their way to assist me and were always happy to answer my questions/guide me in the right direction. I was nervous to stay at a hotel by myself but the Moxy felt very different to your average hotel experience - honestly after a few hours I felt completely at home. The Hotel decor was also super fun and having the different bars/restaurants on site was really convenient. I was actually really sad to leave at the end of my stay as I enjoyed interacting with everyone so much while i was there. I will 100% be booking myself back into the Moxy LES for my next trip to NYC. 5 stars!!!!!

Awesome hotel! Awesome staff. Great amenities. Hotel is nice and clean. Aesthetic if that matters to you. Location is almost perfect in the heart of lower east side. Room is extremely small but it’s NYC so you can’t expect anything different. Will be back!

The corner city view room we booked wasn’t as stated because one of the sides just looked back onto the hotel and all we saw were other people’s rooms. We were not informed of the complimentary hot drinks each morning. We either bought from the hotel or walked to a cafe each morning. The only reason we found out is because we heard a receptionist tell another couple about it when they were checking in. We got engaged whilst we were in New York and wanted to visit the rooftop bar to celebrate. The hotel had a drinks offer we were hoping to take advantage of, but we were told the bar was holding a private event and not available to guests. Most bars were rented out privately for the duration of our stay. This was frustrating because there’s a booklet in the room that guests get special access/offers to the bars and we couldn’t use any of them. Our main issue came when checking out. We settled the bill and the hotel have since charged us an additional €178 which they will not explain despite us messaging via social media, email, and calling. We’ve had to have this refunded by the bank under fraud. They also took money from our credit card when checking in which wasn’t explained to us. We challenged it and were told it’d be refunded as it was an error. I think they were trying to get money from us the moment we checked in! Our experience was beyond disappointing given we booked this based on good reviews. I would not recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Moxy in the Lower East Side it is near everything I needed to get to. There are two subway entrances about 3-5 mins away walking. It is very lively and plenty of people coming in and out. The employees at the reception desk were very helpful. Quiet rooms and beautiful views. I would definitely stay here again. It’s definitely a good bang for your buck.
