This is a really poor conversion to a hotel. Everything in the room is cheap. The bed feels like one of those $400 online order ones, the couches are ugly and small and the tvs appear to be the cheapest they could find. Very disappointed.

1. I had no balcony view - thought I was supposed to - thought I paid for one - did not have one 2. We arrived very late (midnight) due to a long flight delay when we got up to the room the thermostat read 55 degrees - it was a cold night as it took the room a long time to heat up AND there were no extra blankets or pillows in the room. 3. We might have asked for some blankets but the gentleman at the front desk at midnight was not personable and should not be in hospitality. He spoke very softly, spoke like he was reading a script and didn't seem interested in us at all. Never greeted us when we came in the door, which he had to unlock (by buzzer) to let us in at that hour. Never greeted us or made us feel welcome. Rather made us feel like a bother. 4. The next morning my wife went to use the bathroom faucet and it leaked everywhere, all over the bathroom. To there credit staff came up and fixed it, BUT they did not mop up the mess, we had to use towels ourselves. 5. We also asked them to take a look at the water pressure in the shower because it was so bad, we thought it too was broken. they said they addressed it and initially, after they left it seemed better. But the next two mornings were terrible. No pressure. Cold water. 6. The front desk told us we had a $30 credit bot Fri and Sat night at their bar. Great! BUT the bar was only open from 5 pm to 10 pm! How are you going to take advantage of that when we had comedy club tickets and show tickets each night! So much

Tons of nightlife around hotel. Tons. Great spot to start in the Lower East Side. Ask to see the rooftop view from the penthouse. Insider tip. Amazing view.

Room was dirty. Floors were covered in literally trash. This has been my favorite hotel forever and it was a very disappointing experience. I asked the front desk if I could change rooms and had to wait in the lobby for over an hour before the managers finished a meeting and the staff was unable to reach the management. I even emailed the property weeks in advance to make sure I had a good room for a special occasion and still had this issue. I was about to kiss my dinner reservation and was unable to wait for management any longer so I booked another hotel and asked for a refund. The manager didn’t come out for an hour to address the situation and by the time she did my other hotel was already booked and I was already getting into a taxi. This is not the hotel rivington I knew and loved. So disappointed

The Hotel is in a great location close to many restaurants and shops. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel is in need of some repairs. Seems like there maybe hasn’t been any upkeep to it. Our bathroom window would not close properly, bathroom door would stick on floor when trying to open/close. It looks like they have painted multiple layers over doors and latches to hide things. Window seals and floor around bathtub were dirty, seems like they have only been hitting the high spots during cleaning.

good LES location; hotel needs an upgrade

Good lower east side location, great views (12th floor). Carpets in major need of cleaning. Trim in room around doors and windows and closets chipping and falling apart. Furniture rickety. Room in major need of makeover. Issues with elevator.

The hotel was perfectly fine overall. The lobby and bar area are clearly newly renovated and look great—though the bar was unfortunately closed when we arrived. Our room was very spacious, with large, comfortable beds and a fantastic shower, though the décor felt a bit dated and bland. There was only one bathrobe provided despite there being two of us, but when we requested hot water, a kettle and cups were promptly delivered, which was appreciated. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It’s evident that parts of the hotel have been updated while others haven’t, so the quality feels a bit inconsistent. We didn’t try the breakfast—$29 for a continental buffet seemed steep, and there only appeared to be black coffee available (no lattes or cappuccinos), though complimentary coffee is offered in the lobby each morning, which is a nice touch. The location is excellent—just a couple of minutes’ walk to the subway with plenty of great cafés and restaurants nearby. We especially recommend Caffe Vita around the corner. Overall, a convenient and comfortable base for a couple of nights, even if it lacks a bit of atmosphere or character.
