I picked this hotel specifically because it was close to the J train, which is convenient to get into Manhattan and to/from the airport. The location also has good restaurants and cafes nearby that is walkable. My problem is with the hotel itself. Check-in time was at 3pm. We came from the airport in the morning and asked to store our luggage while we go and explore. We got back to the hotel at 4pm and was told our room was not ready and it would be a 20 minute wait. That was annoying because we purposely came back later so that our room would be ready. 20 minutes turned into 40 and I had to ask the staff what was the hold up? I was told it was still not ready. Finally, staff came to me and asked if I NEEDED a double room and if I wouldnt mind a queen/twin bed room for my son and I. I settled for the room since we were so tired from traveling and exploring for the day. The original room was on the 5th floor and now we are put in a room on the 2nd floor. Later that night, after going to bed, we hear a DJ turn music on for a party in the attached lounge/bar area. This party lasted until 2am. So not only were we moved from the 5th floor original hotel room, we were given a room ABOVE a club area! This was not communicated to us at all. The NEXT evening, there was no party below BUT there was chaos in the hallway on the 2nd floor, outside of our door with drunk customers. It was the worst 2 nights of sleep and sadly, my son's first time in NY.

No one add the front desk when i got in (9pm), had to wait 25 min. The noise from the bar downstairs is so loud i couldnt sleep. The guy at the reception told me i would not hear the noice from my room (5th floor) but this was not true.

Great place to stay for a weekend trip in the city! I can definitely imagine the subway and nearby bar noise being a problem for some, but if you’re out enjoying the nightlife and get back in late, it’s not too much of an issue. The staff was super helpful and my room was clean. No complaints!

If you are looking to stay in Brooklyn, do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. There's a loud club that plays music all night long, loud people outside and the neighborhood is unsafe.

Rooms were clean air condition was phenomenal located close to the subway. Would’ve liked to see conditioner in the bathroom as well as a hairdryer we backpacked to New York picking this hotel as our option as it was budget friendly but I did not bring my own hair product or conditioner still survived . Two of the three nights were a little noisy in the bar, but nothing out of control. We would certainly rebook here if we returned.

Got there late to check in bc of a flight delay and they gave my room I had already paid for to someone else and I was stuck at midnight with my daughter on the Brooklyn streets . Went back in and pleaded if they had any more rooms and the gentleman was able to find one miraculously. Good guy. But the whole experience was terrible for my 4 year old Daughter. We were exhausted and just wanted to rest

There was chewed up gum stick next to the phone in my room and someone else’s hair all in the bed. When I complained and wanted another room, at first they said they were fully booked and then put me in a different room. That room ALSO had someone else’s hair all in the bed.
