We stayed during the tremendous snowstorm in New York City. There was no heat in our room with the temperature averaging around 50° until we could get an engineer to look at it the following morning. The hotel also basically doubled the rates for the snowstorm, which is unconscionable. I checked on the website for a similar Sunday in a month or two and it was half the price we paid for our Sunday night stay.

Staff was very friendly which was the best part. Hotel elevator and hallways are dark, old looking and dirty. The whole place smells bad. The room was clean and decent but it was dark, with odd mixed dim lighting and very small and not as sound proof as advertised. Free shuttle is nice. The overall vibe was dismall but the staff tries hard to make it feel nicer.

The Comfort Inn @ JFK worked well for us. The room was a bit smaller than I had imagined but it is designed for efficiency. No trash can in the bathroom was surprising. My husband thought the towels were a bit thin. All in all a good place, nice people. Good stay.

Actually, ALL markers were good. Checked in with friendly staff, quickly and EARLY (which we didn’t even ask for). Room was very clean. Linens felt and smelled clean. Wonderful shower. Desk staff helped when we were missing a toothbrush! Airport shuttle very efficient and quick. Good location. Restaurants deliver if you want other food.
