Great Place, Some Rude Staff

Property located in quiet area of the city. Near highway. Limited parking available on-site, free street parking around property. Hotel across from garbage facility; outside air has strong and smell, inside hotel you do not notice the same smell. Decent breakfast options. Rooms are comfortable. Chose property because we stayed here before. But, the staff members who checked us in this time were rude and off-putting, and we will not return here again. My family and I really did like the property and location for our short stays when we came to the city, but we will book with another hotel in the future. General Manager tried to make things right, and apologize for his staff, but nothing further came about.

I had a terrible experience. I found a bed bug in my room the first day and they made me stay In the room and change my own bed sheets! Absolutely unacceptable!

Very close to JFK with free shuttle service to and from hotel. Room was clean with very comfortable bed and nice shower. There’s nothing around but other similar airport hotels and construction/industrial area. No restaurants within walking distance. We ended up walking to the Hilton Garden Inn which is right next door because they have a small grill/bar area to have some dinner. Of course expect to pay high prices as with all hotel food. The breakfast buffet included was adequate. Perfectly fine stay for a one night layover.

I checked in at 2am. Paid for a late 3pm checkout. I was assured that they would make a note so I would not be woken up. I also hung the “don’t disturb” sign. They still woke me up. I lost over 2 hours of my sleep time. Not happy!

Noisier than another JFK hotel at which I recently stayed. Restaurant was closed, and I was told there were no nearby restaurants. In fact the Hilton Hotel Grill was just 200 yards away. Otherwise very good, with the bedroom and shower excellent. I would recommend.
