All of the employees at this hotel are exemplary. The hotel is clean on the inside but because of construction and I think piles of covered trash on the outside made it quite smelly. Breakfast was excellent and breakfast employees were amazing. Again, the interior is impeccable and the employees are all excellent. Airport shuttle service was also efficient, on point and very hospitable.

The property is extremely convenient to JFK Airport - only a ten minute shuttle ride. You may have to wait a short time for the shuttle, since pick up area is outside, but weather was not a factor for this trip. Price is a little high (over $300/night with taxes) but not unusual for hotels in this area. Paid extra $50 for late checkout past 12 noon - got us to 3 p.m. Had a late evening flight, so relaxed in the dining area (actually missed breakfast - ends at 9 a.m. during the week which is pretty standard) until using the shuttle service for trip back to the airport. Room was a bit cramped for two people (king bed) but was sufficient for our one overnight prior to overseas travel.

I stayed here on a layover in NY for a flight the next day. First off, the shuttle to the hotel was nice and convenient. When I got there, I asked the receptionist if the room I was assigned would be quiet given that I’m a light sleeper and I was traveling the next day. She assure it would be. I was placed on the first floor, which is on the same level as the street. Right outside of my window were people hanging out and speaking loudly on the corner. It was also right across from the elevator. I was awoken multiple times as other patrons were checking in and out. A few moments after I got to the room I noticed a used water bottle under the desk. I called reception to report and the response was “that is crazy. I am so sorry.” I asked if the room was even clean and she said yes it was reported to be clean but they might have just missed the bottle. No one was sent to remove it or anything. I was advised to just leave it there. There is a large smart tv in the room, however the options to use Netflix wasn’t available. I called again to ask how I could get access to it and she said to do the exact things I’d already explained had not worked. Her response was well I don’t know what else to say. No further steps were taken. I’ll say the positive about this is that it’s close to the airport.

Great Place, Some Rude Staff

Property located in quiet area of the city. Near highway. Limited parking available on-site, free street parking around property. Hotel across from garbage facility; outside air has strong and smell, inside hotel you do not notice the same smell. Decent breakfast options. Rooms are comfortable. Chose property because we stayed here before. But, the staff members who checked us in this time were rude and off-putting, and we will not return here again. My family and I really did like the property and location for our short stays when we came to the city, but we will book with another hotel in the future. General Manager tried to make things right, and apologize for his staff, but nothing further came about.
