The sliding bathroom door in the room weighs a ton, is hard to move and has no stops to help position it. When you get it to the place where it sort of covers the doorway and let go, it then slides a few inches so people have a full view. I complained to the front desk but they did not fix it.

The hotel was beautiful, quiet and clean. The staff was incredibly helpful and there wasn’t a moment where a staff person was not available to us for assistance. We stayed 4 nights and we will definitely stay again.

If you are a WW II buff, this is the place to stay. Hotel is just walking distance to the WW II museum and the hotel is 1940’s decor and theme. Very nice and friendly staff and a feeling that you are in a different time.

Rosie’s on the rooftop has great food and a great view,especially after dark. Not many shops within walking distance but the WWII museum is access the street and worth the visit. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The cleaning staff was amazing, very attentive. The area was very safe but no parking access unless you have 45 dollars to pay for parking per night which I feel should be reduced for guests.

We enjoyed our stay at The Higgins. John at the front desk was especially helpful. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a 1940’s style throughout with many interesting details. Parking is pricey ($50) but having the car in a garage felt safer than one of the many nearby parking lots. Hotel guests can make use of the garage until 5pm on day of checkout which we found convenient. We were able to check in before Noon the day of our stay -always a plus! Room was beautiful. Walked to dinner and felt very safe in that area of the city. Two small negatives: the garage is not directly connected to the hotel so there is a very short walk to enter the front lobby. Second negative - I personally can’t stand the trend of barn door bathroom doors but Hilton seems determined to use them throughout their chain. That was my only disappointment. Can’t wait to stay at The Higgins again.

It’s always an amazing stay at Hotel Higgins! We opted for the room with a balcony this time and highly recommend it. The bathroom and size of the suite was amazing! Only thing that could have been better was the patio furniture was not very comfortable.
