Conveniently located in walking distance of everything but far enough from the French Quarter to avoid the chaos. Great spots to meet friends and gather for drinks, especially in the Peacock room. Skilled bar staff who remembered our drink preferences after the first day (and we were a group of 12). I’d only recommend they reserve one floor for no pets since there were tons of dogs and I’m highly allergic. But other than that, I’d recommend this hotel highly.

I liked how the front desk was very kind and nice , the only thing that I did not like was we only had like 5 working channels while someone else that I know that stayed at the same hotel had cable and kids channels, also couldn’t connect to wifi on my daughters tablet or mine, I thought that fell under the amenities but didn’t even benefit from it.

I loved my stay at the Fontenot. Staff is exceptional. Cleaning is great. You can tell there's an active effort to maintain the hotel, which is great to see. The hotel is rather lovely and quite charming. The local area however is definitely mixed bag. It's perfectly safe and beautiful during morning and peak sunlight hours. Beyond that, it's just more of a hand toss. Like if you're a lady, it's probably best to avoid solo walks outside at night. Call an Uber to and from the Hotel lobby.
