North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

Living & work spaces
The living room centers on a 50-inch HDTV with Netflix and Roku, an easy spot to decompress after a day of exploring. A separate workspace with a door gives remote workers a quiet place to focus, backed by reliable wifi.
Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms hold two beds total, dressed in bed linen and room-darkening blinds for undisturbed sleep. Hangers, a wardrobe for clothes storage, and an iron round out the practical touches, while a safe keeps valuables secure. The layout suits two couples, a small family, or friends traveling together.
Kitchen & dining
Cooking here is genuinely easy: a GE gas cooker and single oven, Maytag refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher cover the essentials, while cooking basics, crockery and cutlery mean you can put together a full meal without a grocery run for supplies. A filter coffee maker, toaster, and baking sheet round things out for slower mornings, and a launderette nearby is a short walk away if you need it.
Bathroom
The single bathroom includes a bath, hairdryer, and hot water, stocked with Ecorite shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, plus shower gel and cleaning products.
Outdoor living
Step onto the private balcony with outdoor furniture for a coffee-in-hand morning or a wind-down evening - a small slice of outdoor space that makes the unit feel bigger than its footprint.
Comfort & practicalities
Central air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and central heating keep the unit comfortable regardless of season. Self check-in through a smart lock means arrival is on your schedule, and a private entrance keeps your stay separate from any shared building spaces. Free on-street parking is available, and the whole home is single-level with no stairs. Travelers with young children can request a travel cot or folding high chair, and babysitter recommendations are available on request. The property is pet-friendly. For safety, the unit includes exterior security cameras (used only to confirm guest counts stay within the legal limit of 4), a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit.
Neighborhood
You're steps from the Canal Streetcar line, putting the French Quarter, Mardi Gras parade routes, neighborhood cafés, po'boy shops, and live music venues within easy reach, along with the Lafitte Greenway for a walk or run. Long-term stays of 28 days or more are welcome, and cleaning is available during your stay.
