Overall, we had a great stay!!! The staff is friendly & helpful and they do what they can to address any concerns you may have! They have daily breakfast which is great, but get there early before it’s all gone! The beds are comfy and the rooms are large! It would be great if they invested a little money into fixing and upgrading the bathrooms and rooms as they are a bit run down. The location is great, close to the French quarters! They have valet parking but it takes about 15 to 20 mins to get your car!

The room had an extremely musky and wet carpet upon entering the room. Secondly there was a very large cockroach in view 5 minutes after being in the room.

Room was spacious, close enough to bourbon/canal street. Most of the staff was really nice, except one gentleman. Breakfast was good, but there were too many people and not enough food out. Get there early if you want food. Noticed room wasn’t that clean. I ended up wiping down quite a bit of the area, which was extremely disappointing.

Came in the room having dirty mugs and glasses. Was told by Eddie that cleaning will rectify this the following morning but never came and fixed the issue in our 7 days of stay in the property. Bath tub also has stains. Overall unsatisfactory.

Actually the problem that i faced is as follows. I checked in Sonesta on 15th Dec Monday at around 9 PM. The person working there swiped my card for $100 deposit. but instead of one time payment, he did recurrent payment and every night I was charged. Most of the transactions were cancelled. but I was charged $156.03 ($75.84 + $80.19). $75.84 was after I checked out. Every day, when i asked they said that they have corrected it and this will not happen. But it kept on happening. Then they repaid the money to Expedia and asked me to get it from you. I tried on your number and the moment I said about this, the person hanged. My room number was 205 and conf. No. is 9191SF172869. I request you to look into this and give my $156.03 back. Thanks

We stayed there for around six days, and the rooms were good. The only issue occurred on the night of check-in, when we were asked to stay at another hotel that was about a 10-minute walk away, which was quite inconvenient, especially at 1:00 a.m. after a long journey and while carrying luggage. Had this been communicated in advance via email or phone, it would not have been a major concern. Overall, the stay experience was good.

I recently stayed at the Sonesta New Orleans and was very disappointed with the lack of hospitality and communication throughout my visit. At check-in, the front desk associate was impersonal and dismissive despite the desk not being busy. Every question I asked was met with, “Everything you need to know is on the paper.” This statement was inaccurate, as several important policies were not included. The following morning (December 21st), I came down for breakfast and was not greeted by either the front desk associate or the security guard. I had to say “Good morning” twice before receiving any response. I reported a broken microwave in my suite and maintenance responded promptly. However, when I later called the front desk to ask about housekeeping, I was informed that it must be requested — a policy that was neither communicated at check-in nor listed on the information sheet. After requesting it, I was told there would be a 24-hour turnaround time, which again was not disclosed anywhere. More than 24 hours passed and housekeeping never came. When I followed up, I was told there was no explanation, that the issue would be escalated, and that I would receive a call back. I never did. By checkout, our suite had not been cleaned and we were completely out of paper products. This experience lacked basic hospitality, accountability, and follow-through. It fell well below expectations for the Sonesta brand, and unfortunately there are many hotels in the area that provide better
