Steps to the LaFitte Greenway!

North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks, including Jackson Square (1.6 Miles), Caesars Superdome/Smoothie King Center (1.3 Miles), City Park (3.5 Miles), and Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 (3.3 Miles).

Mid-City in fall settles into exactly the kind of mood New Orleans does best - the heavy heat lifts, the city fills with festivals and football, and every block feels worth exploring on foot. This single-level home on the edge of the Lafitte Greenway gives you something increasingly hard to find: a genuinely peaceful base with instant reach to everything that makes this city worth visiting.

Living space

The living area gathers around a 48-inch HDTV loaded with standard cable, Netflix, Roku, and Hulu - a comfortable anchor for evenings in after a long day out. High-speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace in its own private room make it easy to stay productive without work bleeding into the rest of the space. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep things comfortable no matter the weather. Classic New Orleans architecture runs through the bones of the home - the kind of character a new-build simply cannot replicate.

Sleeping arrangements

Across three bedrooms, each holds a queen bed made up with fresh linens and room-darkening shades that bring genuine darkness for a proper night’s sleep. Each room also has a Smart TV, and clothing storage - walk-in closet, closet, and dresser, with hangers provided - keeps everything in order. The home sleeps up to six guests.

Kitchen & dining

The kitchen is fully set up and ready to use from the moment you arrive. A GE stainless steel electric stove and single oven, GE refrigerator with freezer, microwave, and dishwasher handle the heavy lifting, while dishes, silverware, wine glasses, a toaster, and a baking sheet are all on hand. Cooking basics - pots, pans, oil, salt, and pepper - are already stocked. A drip coffee maker and French press sit ready alongside complimentary coffee; pull up a chair at the dining table and settle in.

Bathrooms

Two full bathrooms come stocked with everything you need - bathtub, hot water, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and cleaning products all provided.

Outdoor living

Step outside to a private patio and fully fenced backyard - a quiet spot to start the morning or decompress after dark. The front porch looks directly over the Lafitte Greenway, an especially pleasant view as the neighborhood settles into its fall rhythm. Free street parking is right out front.

Family-friendly & practical

Traveling with little ones? A pack ‘n play/travel crib (sheets provided) and a folding high chair with padding, straps/harness, and food tray are both available on request. Babysitter recommendations can also be arranged. The single-level layout - no internal stairs anywhere in the home - makes moving around easy for all guests. An in-unit washer and dryer, iron, and private entrance round out the day-to-day practicalities, and cleaning is available during your stay.

Location

The Lafitte Greenway runs directly outside your front door. The Superdome is a 10-minute walk, Treme’s celebrated dining scene is close by, and the French Quarter is just minutes further. Whether you’re here for a Saints game, a fall festival, Mardi Gras, New Year’s Eve, or the Sugar Bowl, this is one of the city’s most well-placed addresses.
