Steps to Endymion and Zulu Parades during Mardi Gras!
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks including Jackson Square (1.5 Miles), Caesars Superdome/Smoothie King Center (0.9 Miles), The National WWII Museum (2.8 Miles), and the famous Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 (3.0 Miles).
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!
You’ll have exclusive access to the entire first floor of the duplex, including:
• Living room
• Full kitchen
• 3 bedrooms
• 2 full bathrooms
• Laundry area
Please note: The upstairs unit is occupied by long-term residents, but your level is completely private.
When the days cool and Mid-City settles into its fall rhythm, this three-bedroom home earns its place. The Canal Streetcar rattles past steps from the door, the Lafitte Greenway fills with locals out for an afternoon walk, and Saints game days put a charge in the whole neighborhood. A private first-floor unit in a classic New Orleans duplex - this is a real base to come back to, set up for the way groups actually live.
The space
Single-level throughout with no interior stairs, the unit has its own separate entrance and the feel of a home rather than a rental. Central heating and ceiling fans keep the temperature just right as the season settles in, and room-darkening shades take care of the morning light when the night ran long.
Living space
Evenings are anchored by a 45-inch HDTV with Netflix - an easy place to land after a full day in the city. Fast Wi-Fi and an Ethernet connection keep everyone online, and a dedicated workspace with its own door offers a quiet, focused spot for anyone who needs to get work done. There’s room to spread out comfortably without feeling crowded.
Sleeping arrangements
Six guests across three bedrooms and three beds - sized for a group without feeling tight. Bed linens, towels, essentials, clothing storage, hangers, and an iron are all provided. For those planning to stay longer, the home supports long-term stays of 28 days or more.
Kitchen & dining
Stock the fridge, fire up the oven, or just brew a morning cup - the kitchen handles whatever the day calls for. It’s equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, plus a coffee maker, cooking basics, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, and a baking sheet. Coffee is provided.
Bathrooms
With two bathrooms, mornings stay smooth. Each is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, a hair dryer, and cleaning products - and one has a bathtub when you want a longer, slower wind-down.
Extras & practical touches
Self check-in via smart lock puts arrival in your hands - show up whenever works and you’re in. Free street parking is available. In-unit washer and dryer handle laundry on your timeline. A patio or balcony gives you somewhere to step outside without leaving the property. Families can request a pack ‘n play and a folding high chair, and babysitter recommendations are available for a night out. Exterior security cameras are in place, and cleaning is available during your stay.
Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.
The neighborhood
The Superdome and Smoothie King Center are 0.9 miles away - whether it’s game day, a concert, or a major event, you’re close. Hop the Canal Streetcar from steps outside and you’re connected to the French Quarter, Downtown, and the City of the Dead cemeteries without needing a car. The Lafitte Greenway threads right through the neighborhood: a 2.6-mile trail from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue, lined with local cafés, a micro-brewery, and no shortage of po’ boy shops. Ruby Slipper Café is walkable for a proper New Orleans brunch. Jackson Square is 1.5 miles out, the National WWII Museum 2.8 miles, and Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 around 3 miles.
