North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

Mid-City hums with a particular energy in the fall and winter months - parade routes come alive, the crisp evening air draws people out to the streets, and the warmth of a well-appointed home becomes all the more welcome. This four-bedroom, single-level unit puts up to eight guests in the heart of New Orleans, with the Canal Streetcar, the Endymion parade route, and some of the city’s best-loved streets all within easy reach.
Living space
The home flows across a single level with no stairs, making it easy for guests of all ages to move around freely. Natural light fills the common areas, and ceiling fans work alongside central air conditioning and heating to keep things comfortable whatever the weather. A dedicated workspace - set in a private room with a door - makes the home practical for longer stays, while a pool table gives your group a natural gathering point for evenings in.
Sleeping arrangements
Four bedrooms sleep up to eight guests, each outfitted with quality bed linens, a TV, room-darkening shades, hangers, and clothing storage. A walk-in closet and additional closet space make it easy to unpack and settle in properly. Three full bathrooms - each stocked with hot water, a bathtub, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and shower gel - give everyone the space to get ready without the queue.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking together. A Frigidaire refrigerator, Frigidaire stainless steel electric stove, Frigidaire single oven, microwave, and dishwasher handle the hard work, and a Keurig coffee machine with complimentary coffee makes mornings smooth. Cooking basics, dishes, silverware, wine glasses, a toaster, baking sheet, and a dining table for shared meals are all provided.
Outdoor & extras
Step out to the patio or balcony for some fresh air, or use the shared backyard to fire up the BBQ grill. The shared outdoor pool - heated and open year-round, 24 hours a day, with pool toys available - is an added bonus for those who want it. Free parking on the premises and additional street parking make arrival easy for groups driving in.
Practicalities & family features
The home includes fast Wi-Fi, an Ethernet connection, in-unit washer and dryer, iron, and a personal safe. Families with young children can request a pack ‘n play (sheets provided), a padded high chair with harness and food tray, and babysitter recommendations. A Ring camera on the exterior door, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit are all in place for your peace of mind.
Neighborhood
Steps from the Endymion parade route and a short walk to the Canal Streetcar, the home connects you to the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, and local favorites like Trader Joe’s. The Lafitte Greenway bike path and major hospitals are also nearby, making this a convenient and well-located base for your time in New Orleans.
