This was a super eclectic home. It was cute and well maintained. The room was very cute and had an old style bathtub. The lady who runs it was very sweet and the breakfast the next morning was amazing.

Beautiful property with so much New Orleans charm. Darryl was extremely helpful and knowledgeable upon check in. Our room was very clean and featured high ceilings, a kitchenette, mini fridge, and bathroom. Beautiful view from the windows. A/C blew super cold and kept the room comfortable. Breakfast was great and Beatriz was very kind (and a great cook). Off street parking behind a gate is such a nice feature, too. Would highly recommend this b&b to anyone looking for a real New Orleans experience.

Beatriz is a delightful host. Her breakfast is all you expect from New Orleans' top restaurants. She obviously puts heart into sharing her establishment with others. The location couldn't be better. There are restaurants and bars all around and the neighborhood has a great vibe.

The Fairchild House is very charming, and all in all, is a nice place to stay, with reasonable rates. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and good. Shrimp and grits on the weekend was so good, my husband became a convert. My biggest complaint is the tiny shower stall which needs something to make the shower floor non-slip. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were almost useless. The place was clean enough, with minor exceptions.

The room (first floor) was clean. Very small bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Tiny tv, not much bigger than an IPad. Building very old, musty smell but AC helped. Nice. continental breakfast served on weekdays with an additional hot dish on weekends. Super friendly and helpful staff. Close walking distance to street car. We did not have a car but parking did not seem to be an issue.
