I was a little worried about our upcoming stay. The reviews had me feeling like the hotel may be a bit sketchy but I was pleasantly surprised. My sister and I arrived hours before check in and we were greeted with awesome staff. They held our bags in a secure area with a great process in place to ensure that we received all of our items. When we came back for check in the process was smooth. I booked through a third party and was not charged for anything other than what was discussed. Our room was small but nice. It was clean, soft bed, clean sheets, pillows and towels. Bathroom was clean and stocked well with amenities. Shower was nice and hot and our room temperature was nice and cool. We felt safe. The entry doors were locked at a certain time, room keys were required for entry which I loved. Security was visible and greeted us everytime. Staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying there again the next time we visit NOLA.

Over all the stay was great.. we just had a lot of issues with our room… HVAC wasn’t working properly, hot water wasn’t hot it was luke warm, tv didn’t work…they tried to correct it as we made them aware which was great.. over all we still had a great experience!!!

Everything didn’t work in my room. I booked a city view and got a view of a parking garage on the other side of our window. I went downstairs and the front desk lady said, “that’s considered a city view.” The waterfall shower didn’t work, the water didn’t get hot, and our A/c didn’t work. So, overall, I would never recommend this place again.

Unfortunately, my stay at the AC Hotel by Marriott in the Orleans French Quarter was disappointing from start to finish. The receptionist was dismissive and condescending, even questioning why I was visiting New Orleans—despite me being a local. The interaction felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. I was then assigned a tiny corner room with a bathroom so small it was barely functional. As a plus-size guest, navigating the space—especially the shower—was extremely difficult. There were also noticeable cracks in the flooring from the bathroom into the main room, which made the hotel feel poorly maintained and unsafe. Given the price point and brand reputation, this experience fell far below expectations.
