Only one negative. The place was excellent value. Room was clean and the location on the river with towering pecan trees, pool, volleyball, fire pits and available tubing rental was beautiful. It would make a great spot for a family reunion vacation in the summer. The negative?... The complimentary welcome-cocktail was the weakest allegedly alcoholic beverage I've ever had in my life. Somebody's watering the gin or forgot to put the gin in the alleged gin drink.

Wonderful! This was a quick weekend trip to Gruene but will definitely come back in the summer to enjoy the river. Would be great for family reunions. The bar and clubhouse is very nice with great drinks.
