Room 55 had two bedroom, two full bathroom (one tub), kitchen, full fridge, microwave, two burner stove, coffee maker, pots/pans, silverware, plates, cups, two balconies, and basic toiletries. This room was quiet and spacious. The bed was so hard!!!! That’s the only drawback. My husband slept on the sofa and I could only sleep on my back in the bed. A mattress topper would have made a wonderful difference. The food is great and I highly recommend the Alfredo with chicken and / or shrimp. The pool was warm. The ocean was warmer. We also enjoyed the lounge at night where we played games with the family. There were live entertainment nights with karaoke, steel drum band, and a DJ. Some of my family experienced not having hot water and switched rooms. This was an excellent experience considering the recent devastation from Hurricane Melissa. I’m glad we decided not to cancel. We will be back soon.

had a very disappointing stay at Travellers Beach Resort. I booked two back-to-back reservations for the same room type and confirmed multiple times that I would stay in the same room, yet I was given keys to a completely different room than the one on the form I signed. The first room had a foul odor, looked dirty, and had several cats outside the door, which is a problem because I’m allergic. After a long discussion, I was finally moved to the room I was supposed to have. Our group also had major room inconsistencies—half received renovated rooms while the rest of us got old, worn-out rooms that looked nothing like them. On top of that, we didn’t have hot water for two days, which is unacceptable. Service was inconsistent as well. Many staff members didn’t acknowledge us, yet they were noticeably friendlier with certain other guests. There were a few great employees—Oval and Shanika at dinner and Ricky at the bar were wonderful. However, Antwinette repeatedly had an attitude whenever I asked questions and only became polite after I asked for her name. During my second reservation, I was told I needed to move rooms again and would have to pay extra to “upgrade” just to stay in the same room, even though both bookings showed the same room type. Only after another staff member stepped in was I allowed to stay. The storm damage explains some of the property’s condition, but not the poor communication, inconsistent rooms, lack of hot water, or uneven treatment of guests.

Stayed at Travellers with my wife two weeks after Hurricane Melissa. Some how these brothers managed to provide a great experience in un-normal times. Great value at this place. Definitely check out Travellers for your Negril travel. Support Jamaicans who support Jamaicans and take care of their staff. We’ll definitely be back.

Travellers Beach Resort Truly Cares! My husband and I stayed at Travellers Beach Resort in Negril from October 21–November 2, 2025, during Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm. The staff went above and beyond to keep everyone safe and comfortable — bringing snacks, water, and meals to our rooms, keeping power on with generators, and staying in touch through WhatsApp. Even when flights were canceled, they extended our stay at a reduced rate and continued to serve with smiles, kindness, and compassion — even while some couldn’t reach their own families. They also helped non-guests who needed shelter, showing true humanity. Travellers Beach Resort made us feel like family during one of the toughest times, and for that, they’ve earned our loyalty forever. We can’t wait to return! Thank you, Travellers Beach Resort — you are the heart of Negril!

Great modern (recently renovated) boutique hotel in Negril. I'd rate it a 3.5/5. Only issue for the area was the it seemed like somewhere along the beach at around noon daily, a large amount of polluted water was released into the ocean which rendered the beach and ocean very unsafe. I'm unsure where this polluted water was coming from but this needs to be rectified! Great restaurant, amenities, and room and we overall enjoyed our stay.

For a family of three, our room with a queen bed was too small, so we were offered an upgrade, which was very kind. The staff is outstanding. Not one time while our daughter was at the resort did we worry. She loved the lounge and quick access to the beach and pool. I loved the grounds and private patio. All around a great stay!
