I booked this property through Expedia, which apparently was my first mistake. I get to my room, and as I have been traveling a great distance, I immediately went to shower. As I’m showing I hear banging on the walls, and someone trying to enter into my room. I get out, and I can hear people yelling, again, as they are trying to enter my room. As a young woman traveling alone I am completely terrified at this point. I immediately threw all of my belongings together and ran to the front desk. The man at the desk, after making numerous phone calls, promised me a refund the following morning, because Expedia refunds apparently could not be processed same day. I accepted this, and left. It has been weeks now, and the hotel is now telling me that it is there policy that they never refund Expedia bookings, regardless of incident, regardless of what has been promised, and that the employee that made this promise to me has been punished. Wow. They punish employees for good customer service, and frankly, just for trying to help a young woman in distress. Anyone would be a fool to stay here. The hotel is sketchy (at best), and they clearly do not care about the safety of guests, or following through with their word.
