4/10 Poor

Not even close to as good as others
The hotel's location is ideal for attending Vanderbilt football games, which was the primary reason for our visit. Its proximity allowed for a convenient walk to the game, and numerous restaurants are within walking distance. The lobby and in-hotel restaurant are impressive; however, the overall quality of the accommodations was disappointing. The room was unclean, with rust present in the bathroom. The furnishings appeared old and deteriorated. Stains were evident on the curtains and the ice machine room, and the bathroom featured a standard shower and bathtub combination rather than a walk-in shower. Having stayed at several Loews hotels, I had expected a consistent level of quality, but this property did not meet those expectations. It appears to be an aging hotel that has been superficially renovated through painting and renaming, resulting in a dingy and poorly maintained environment. The room rates are excessively high considering the condition of the facilities. This is the least satisfactory Loews hotel I have experienced, and our stay was notably uncomfortable. Additionally, the second-floor hallway had an unpleasant odor, likely due to smoking and the presence of garbage and fecal smells. I would not recommend this hotel; in future visits, we plan to stay at the Marriott further down the street, which offers better accommodations and comfort.
