The front desk and breakfast staff were very pleasant, however my first impression and lasting impression overall was the lack of maintenance. The weather stripping on the sliding entry door was flapping in the breeze. Then coming into our room, I noticed spots on the sofa table and one bedside table. At first I thought they were stuck on permanently, but I was able to clean them off with a wash cloth and a little elbow grease. Next I found that the black out shade was broken. Instead of a pulley chain it had been rolled up and jimmied into the window frame. At bedtime it had to be unrolled then re-rolled in the morning. The in-room coffee maker also did not work. The property advertised a lobby bar, however when, at 5 PM, I asked when it opened, the front desk receptionist said, “Whenever the bar tender shows up.” As it turns out, upon returning from dinner at 8:30 it became apparent that no bartender showed up. For the price, this hotel was a poor value and I would not choose it in the future.

Location was great. The room was clean comfortable & quiet. Enjoyed there being an upscale fabulous shopping mall across the street. Had dinner there as well. The staff was attentive to all our questions & requests. The only negative would be the breakfast. I read other reviews re: the breakfast so I didn’t high expectations. Easy Uber ride to the airport.

Not a usual experience

We have enjoyed Hyatt Place in the past and were excited to find a well priced room on a busy weekend in Nashville. The hotel was hard to find because the sign is hard to see. The parking is easy, once you navigate the odd lot and unlabeled garage. We needed an extra blanket for the pull out bed and we were told no, then later one appeared at our door. At breakfast the eggs and potatoes were cold, and the tables were not being cleaned as people left.

The stay was for an overnight business trip. This hotel was chosen not only for proximity to the meeting location but also that there was a restaurant and bar (great for before the meeting to work and grab a bite, and after the meeting to be able to have some dinner and a drink). The restaurant was not open upon my arrival in mid-afternoon, nor was it open when I returned from my meeting, with the plan to have dinner. Additionally the parking is difficult and inconvenient. Wishing now I had chosen another hotel. This was too frustrating.
