The Drake Inn is a bit rundown - but it's what I expected of a 'vintage' hotel. The staff were very helpful - and Lennie (from housekeeping) was the best!

It had 2 lamps that DID NOT work!! it had a phone that DID NOT WORK AND THE RECEIVER DIDN'T EVEN GO WITH THE PHONE DIALER BASE black mold around the inside of the tub and a molded piece of cloth stuck in it and the fridge only had 3 legs

it's ok if you want a cheap place to sleep. We stayed in the hottub room. The bad: 1) There are water stains on the ceiling. 2) There is a plastic bag over the smoke alarm??? 3) All the the plugs in the room were too loose to hold a phone charger 4) The bathtub was missing the overflow cover 5) Bad over paint job 6) The noise from the traffic was loud 7) The trains seem to run all night and blare thier horns. The good: 1) Previous reviews said the area wasn't good. we had no issues with the area 2) 1 bus to downtown 3) friendly staff 4) staff was very accommodating 5) The rooms gets fresh towels every day even though it's a lower price place. 6) On site laundry and vending machines 7) Price in the vending machine was very reasonable. I would still stay here again based on price.

Booked the jacuzzi suite. Only 1 working outlet in the entire room. All but 2 lightbulbs in the room were inoperable. Couch was broken and cushions were ripped and dirty. Lamp cords ripped apart and taped together with duct tape, and also inoperable. Broken lamp was left in the floor by the window for some reason. NOT what I expected when booking the most expensive suite available. Don't waste your money. I didn't want to complain at the time for fear they'd move us to a worse room. Just don't stay here.

Had to change room 3 x !! -There was what looked like poop smeared on walls - toilet broken - they moved me to queen BUT to was only a queen bed frame with a full mattress , wth! - smelled like cigarettes
