The heater was too noisy at night. The electronic key was not reliable for me. Information about safety information was too small for my senior eyes and there was no information about operating inroom devices. However these are mostly minor issues when compared with the spacious and otherwise high quality of service and accommodation.

Overall this hotel was a great experience. The breakfast was quite good, only a 20 minute drive from Duke point, and close to the city centre. The room, and bathroom were clean, the staff were friendly, and helpful. The only thing that went wrong was on the second night of our 2 night stay, the people in the room above us were quite noisy past midnight. Not the fault of the hotel though.

I always prefer Ramada over other hotels in Nanaimo. I generally opt 2 queen bed room. It’s spacious, clean, great ambiance with a small balcony to enjoy tea time with my wife. Clean washrooms. As I travel regarding business, I find this room to be perfect as they provide a desk and a chair to work. All and all its 4 star hotel for me.
