The staff was excellent. We ate dinner at the restaurant and really enjoyed our experience and the food was excellent. The grounds are beautiful. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. My only complaint is the indoor pool was being renovated and I wasn't notified at booking. I feel hotels should let you know if an amenity isn't available before you book. I specifically picked this place for the pool and beachside access. When you travel with kids the small stuff matters. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The rooms did have a moldy smell in them and there is considerable noise from other peoples rooms. The walls and ceiling need to be insulated better as it was quite loud.

An ocean view room is 100% worth it, watching the time come in and out from your own bed is so lovely. The restaurant there has lovely staff and great brunch! Walkable to shops, nice very short walk down the beach. Also beautifully kept grounds. I would absolutely stay here again next time I visit Parksville!

Breakfast was not included but their dining room offered a good variety of options at good value. The ocean view from the room was lovely and there was easy access to the beach. The room was clean and comfortable (though I found the bed too soft and pillows too poofy and lumpy). The nespresso made great coffee for relaxing on the balcony. Big fitness area with squash court. And beautiful nature art by local artists all through the hotel, even the rooms. We would come back again. Hopefully the pool and sauna will be completed by then.
