Located in the soundside boating community of Old Nags Head Cove, The Watsons is truly a waterman's paradise! This unique property is situated on a canalfront lot where you can launch kayaks and paddleboards right from your backyard. Have a larger vessel in mind? You can even bring your boat! Use the nearby community boat ramp (nominal fee) and dock right behind the house using the private boat dock. The canal leads directly out to the Roanoke Sound for fishing, crabbing, clamming or just cruising. With a fish cleaning station, grill, and picnic table back at the house, you'll have everything you need on the ground level to prepare your own seafood dinners.
When you arrive, skip the stairs and use the elevator to send up your luggage and groceries. Inside, you'll come home to an open-concept great room where you can kick back and relax after a day at the beach. Get dinner started in the fully stocked kitchen or grab a cold beverage to enjoy on the waterfront deck at sunset. The sun room offers abundant natural light and is furnished with a pull-out sofa for alternative sleeping arrangements. The first queen bedroom is located just off the living area along with access to the first full bath. Upstairs, you'll find a comfortably furnished loft area perfect for a kids hangout space or a cozy lounge for reading. There's also two more bedrooms that share a Jack-and-Jill Bath. The top level queen bedroom is equipped with a desk area for staying caught up with work or school remotely.
Old Nags Head Cove is a community designed for life on the water. Boating, fishing, kayaking, SUP's - the possibilities are endless. In addition to the canals and sound access, guests also have the option of purchasing daily or weekly passes to the Old Nags Head Cove soundfront pool. Additional community perks include a basketball court, volleyball court and picnic area.
Centrally located at Milepost 13.5 in Nags Head, The Watsons is within minutes to everything you'll need for a relaxing and memorable Outer Banks vacation. When it's time to hit the beach, two public accesses are nearby - one at Enterprise Street and another at Loggerhead Street - both of which provide free parking. Take a bike ride down the multi-use path that runs from Old Nags Head Cove to the Outer Banks Mall where you can browse an array of shopping and dining options, including two grocery stores.
Please note that there are two inflatable paddleboards with paddles available for guest use.
