If you want to sleep somewhere with a bug infestation, this is the place for you!Aside from general insects, we encountered 7 scorpions inside the unit during our stay. It was a constant problem! They were mostly in the kitchen and kids’ bedrooms. No one could walk barefoot, we had to shake out our clothes, chairs had to be inspected underneath before sitting down, and sheets checked before crawling into bed. The host did fumigate the unit mid stay for us, but the bug problem daily- particularly live scorpions.The concierge service was also the worst we have ever encountered, and we travel a lot! We never met our concierge once, responses often took hours or were not until the next day, and the excursion recommendations were highly overpriced compared to others in the area! We ended up booking all of our own excursions and drivers for a fraction of the cost because the pricing was highly escalated! The positives: the housekeeping staff was excellent and made the unit look great daily! The included golf cart was a great bonus too…We actually found ourselves using it to escape the bugs and explore the beautiful Peninsula as much as we could! Location was also excellent, so that was a plus!The peninsula itself is amazing, but this unit fell far short for a luxury rental with the bugs and for what we paid. We were more than patient with the pest problem, but hope it is remedied before another family experiences what we did!
