If I could give this place zero stars I would. The rooms are disgusting and look nothing like they look on the pictures online. The room they gave me had mold on the lampshade, paint chipping off the walls, broken outlet covers with exposed outlets. I asked the front desk person if I could cancel my reservation that I only reserved only an hour and a half before I got there, and he told me that I could cancel but he would charge me $800 if I did. I still didn't stay in the room. I left immediately. I booked through Expedia and after one month of discussion with Expedia they refunded my money. Expedia was never able to get ahold of the hotel for approval of my refund so they refunded me on their own. This is a shady, dirty place.
This is genuinely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life. Rude, dirty, and misleading. It looks nothing like the photos. Found several cockroaches in our room, told the front desk (that isn’t even attached the the hotel itself, rather the motel next door) and they told us to sweep it off the deck and into the pool. Mold on balcony. Never received new towels or toiletries. Was going to get a new room but the hotel and Hotels.com refused (despite paying for the insurance.) Had to pay another $100 resort fee on arrival. Scam.
This is a buy by the hour style hotel. We booked for two nights and left after 10 minutes because the room was filthy. People were smoking in their rooms even though it clearly stated no smoking. The room was so unsafe. There was a small latch between to the other hotel room but worse of all the door did not fully lock. When we locked the deadbolt there is a separation between the door and wall so big you could see that the deadbolt barely went into the whole.
The room was deceiving from the pics sent . No office. Was manned by a hotel across the street that smelled of weed. Only access to the office was to ring a bell. Brown sheets and stained sheets on one bed. You would
Not dare want to touch the microwave or rusty thing called an oven. Rotted wood for a desk. A latch hook keeping you and the next room separate . Ocean view was a glimpse of the ocean across the street between two nicer hotels. The cord to the air unit was wrapped around with tape and looked like it had stuff growing on it. I left and did not feel safe . No refund because it was booked through hotels.com the room was priced at $196. Fraudulent .
Disgusting hotel. The rooms were dirty & the bedsheets were wet & stained when we checked in. There were roaches in the microwave. The floor was dirty with a look of haven’t been swept. The balcony was so nasty with residue of cigarettes. It smelled disgusting, the stove & refrigerator were disgusting as well. As soon as we checked in, we checked out. We had to get another hotel & they did not want to refund us. Very unsafe & unsanitary, would NOT recommend. The staff were useless.
This hotel was terrible, it was dirty. The toilet seat was broken and the staff knew about it but they didnt fix it or do anything about it... i will not recomement stay in this hotel.

My stay was fine. I think they overcharged for the room.
DO NOT STAY HERE! My partner and I are college professors who needed a cheap place to stay in Myrtle Beach for one night. The Anchor Motel was cheap - until they did not refund our $100 deposit. When I called to complain they said that we had left bloodstains in the bedsheets that they couldn't get out which is simply not true. My partner also saw a bed bug on the floor and we both had bites after our stay here and had to bug bomb our bedroom at home. A cheap place to stay but not worth it!
