Yes, the hotel is next to a gas station, but it was not an issue whatsoever. Staff was courteous and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. The only issue to report was the shower rod in the bathroom was broken on one end, preventing the shower curtain from containing the water to the tub. The issue was reported, however there maintenance person was unavailable that weekend. I would still recommend booking a room at this location.

Room was very nice and clean. Staff was wonderful.They only have valet parking but if you get discount only $10. Great location . Easy to get around. Great price. Highly recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I didn't want to set high expectations based on the location. It's a bit off that is next to a gas station, when we arrived we were not sure where to check in, no reception sign. So we walked into the gas station to ask, and to our surprise, there's a tiny desk at the back of the gas station where you check in. Again, seemed a little odd at first. But the room itself was spotless. You can see the headboard and baseboards are a bit scratched and outdated in some corners, BUT the bed was comfy, the room was clean and quiet. If you want a luxurious stay, this isn't it. If all you care about is cleanliness and budget, this is a great option and would definitely return. They offered a to go breakfast, but we did not make use of it as we had other plans. The location was great to visit Monterey & Carmel and we saved a lot of money by staying here. If you drive down the road you reach a beautiful beach for sunset.

Raul was very helpful and friendly. I did not realize the motel shared a parking lot with the gas station and convenience store, however, it did not present any problems. The room was clean!
