I arrived late and found easy check-in instructions and key. I loved my corner room and felt very comfortable. It was spotless. In the morning when it was a bit chilly, it was easy to turn on the gas fireplace for a little heat. There was a little table and chair near the corner window, where I could sit quietly and see the sea in the distance. The proprietor was lovely. I would definitely stay again.

Cute, older, yet updated Inn. The additional room with the twin beds is what sold us. Perfect for traveling with a teen. Excellent location, easy check in and parking. I only interacted with the front desk once but the gentleman was super friendly. My only comment is hooks in the bathroom, or, somewhere additional to hang towels 😁 Otherwise, a really fun place to stay, walkable to everything.

I booked a four-night stay at Carmel Wayfarer Inn and had to leave within minutes due to unsafe and unsanitary conditions. The room had visible mold throughout the bathroom, a used and unflushed toilet, holes in the walls, pet hair on the bed, and a strong mold odor throughout the entire room. Because of these conditions, the room was uninhabitable and I did not stay any of the nights. The hotel manager, Mike, refused to issue a refund despite the health and safety concerns. It was also nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone by phone, and no one was ever available at the front desk when assistance was needed. This was an extremely disappointing and concerning experience. I would not recommend this property, especially to families or anyone with health concerns.

Parking was pretty easy. The area was nice and safe and you could walk to restaurants and shopping. I really enjoyed my stay with my girlfriends.
