All the staff we came across were very polite and friendly. My wife did not like her dinning experience at the main dinning room for breakfast. She complained that there was a very rank smell in that dinning room that also extended to the blue mountain restaurant that was bothering her, so i had to take her breakfast to the room or seek dinning after breakfast at other outdoor eating hubs because she refuses to go back to the dinning hall. Other than that the experience was great

The only issue we had was room servies was very slow this first order and the second order never got process. So we had to call. If you enjoy paying an exorbitant amount of money for what is sold as a premium service in an elevated room, and then receiving subpar at best, Secrets Wild Orchid is for you! The start of our stay was typical, bellman greeted us and took our bags. When we get to our room, after having to sit through a 20 min sales pitch to go to their timeshare presentation, we see that room is a bit dated and there’s also a huge dead roach next to the trash can that cleaning failed to address before our check in. Hungry and fatigued, we head out for supper identifying the seafood restaurant for dinner, only to find out they closed that restaurant for dinner long ago and didn’t update the application. We then go to the Caribbean restaurant for the evening, they weren’t serving patties and were out of a number of things even thought it was 6:00 pm. That said, the jerk chicken was tasty. This was a constant theme, EXTREMELY limited menu, only shrimp as the seafood, they were constantly out of menu items. Also, we observed food sitting out over 8 hours, to make matters worse in the preferred club. Daily, we had to beg for towels, and proper cleaning. Our butlers were inattentive and left at 5. The spa was dated, and the appt started late because the staff didn't arrive to work on time. The beach was filled with rocks and trash. We were trapped in a 4 hour sales pitch with rude staff. Scammy taxis associated with the resort. Honestly, i’m out of characters , but don’t go, it’s horrid!

The tiles on the floor in my room were peeling up. Also the sliding door did not seem very secure with that one little pin that was provided. The staff was great and friendly. I also had a Ga Power that if there were any small reptiles or animals they could’ve fit under there so I placed a towel at the door every day when it rained the rain also came inside the door
