Very nice place. Room was very nice. Beware of the excessive tipping culture. Overall very nice resort take advantage of all three resorts, each one has something to offer. If you can get the preferred package it has a lot of benefits. We enjoyed our stay would do it again.

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Great bar service. Incredible views of mountains a Caribbean. Water was calm and beautiful. Grinds and pools immaculate. Food just ok. But all in all a tremendous experience.

We needed a quick getaway to relax and Secrets delivered. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the grounds were beautiful. The food for the most part was good. One draw back was the long walk to the main restaurants (unless you were able to get a cart). Would return for a longer stay and certainly recommend them to others.

The staff were friendly, but I did not receive the room I selected with Expedia. They downgraded my room. They did move me to a better room the next day, but still not what I selected and paid for. I called days prior and confirmed room type and it was said to be what I purchased until I got there. The rooms were not that clean and the jet tub was broken. I requested a service that was mediocre to the price of decorating the room With roses, $150 and they only put a few on the table, a sprinkle around the edge of tube and spelled Happy birthday small on the floor. A happy birthday dash was also on the door. I requested a bath of roses. I will not be returning to this resort most likely.

The perfect getaway to relax peacefully! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful from Imani’s beautiful welcoming smile at check in to Ketler at the bar and Trudyann beachside service and Adeem at Seaside restaurant with great recommendations and Carol at Blue Mountain dinner…everyone was so gracious Peter and Ashun gave a beautiful tour of the property. Everyone told me “Welcome home” and indeed it felt like home. Thank you!

Checking in the receptionist stated we didn’t need reservations for the restaurants. But we were told at the hibachi restaurant that we needed one. The room fridge wasn’t stacked, hot tub was dirty, items left In the safe, open soda bottles in the room. Service was really poor. We also reserved a taxi with the front desk and the day of me leaving I called the taxi to confirm and he stated he was unaware. Very unprofessional

We stayed for 5 nights at Secrets St James preferred club junior suite. The property was nice but could use some updating. There were no food options on the St James side except the buffet for preferred guests, which we did eat at and was good but very limited. They also have a "bar" set up on the counter of liquors and mixers, but make no mistake because it is not self serve. Even if no one is attending it for several minutes. If you get caught pouring yourself a drink, they will let you know it is NOT self serve and then continue to stare at you. I found this out first hand our first night there. All dining is at Wild Orchid or at Breathless and is somewhat a walk. The buffet at World cafe was our go to for breakfast and sometimes lunch due to many options. The pool was amazing. The beach was amazing. Mostly everyone was very friendly. I did not feel like the staff was there to get you anything you need. My husband asked for coffee one day at lunch and the waitress kind of snickered and acted like it was an inconvenience. Housekeeping was very good. If you decide to order room service, expect an hour wait time. Big con for me was that the restaurants were not air conditioned. It was almost better to sit outside in the 90 degree weather and eat with a slight breeze, rather than sit inside with no air movement. Was Jamaica beaches breathtaking? Yes! Would I go back to this resort? No.
